About Wes Mann:

I play music. I play music for a lot of people and they dance, they sing, and they clap. Everything I do, I do for a purpose. Every word I write, I write with meaning. Although my songs are mostly melancholy, I take pride in the fact that I am a very happy person. It is through these songs that I unleash my inner demons and destroy the despair. Call me emo, call me romantic, or call me a whiner, honestly I don't care. If you could (or if you do) write, I'm sure it will eventually be graded in a way that you don't enjoy, but would (do) you care? If my songs strike a chord or they speak to you directly that's all I aim for. Everything you hear, I touched. The music, the words, the recording, the production, the mastering, the vocals.....all me. Except marketing, I have a team for that. I am one person creating an emotional collage.

If you're here because of the album, please enjoy!

The Story:

I love blues, there's no denying that. I've been through a lot of situations that warrant some blues. I do like to express myself too. If I don't play something or write something to get out what's inside, well, I'd go crazy. I'm going to just write as long as I feel like going. There will be a minumum of 10 songs that will be here but who knows how many will be availiable. I'll put up a downloadable album cover to print out when I'm finished. If you want an actual copy, I'll sign it for whatever that's worth, just let me know.

So here I sit, pen and paper always in hand now it seems. My guitar follows me around when I can sit in a living room, play, and write. I write these songs. Nothing overly produced, nothing showy or electronic. Just me and the same Acoustic guitar I've had since I started playing.

Thanks go to those of you who let me sit on your couch and brainstorm. Thanks to those who gave me feedback on the songs I was writing. A song a day is tough, hah.

It's at this time that I must mention to please donate to my ongoing contribution to The Illinois Center for Autism. I'm giving you something for free, heck I'll give you all of my released music for a good enough donation! These kids, and adults, lost $500,000 in state funding for their program, which sadly leads to budget cuts. 30 or so adult client's families will have to pay for this program out of thier pockets! It costs $150 a day per client to be in this program. So give what you can!
